The MG Car Club was established in 1930 in Abingdon, England, on the site of the original MG factory. The Club has a membership exceeding 10000 spread over 103 centres throughout the world. The South Cape Centre based in Knysna on the Garden Route was established in February 2007. There are currently 87 members, with over 110 cars.

To join the MG Car Club South Cape, download the membership application and SAMCA indemnity forms, complete and return by email to southcapemgcarclub@gmail.com

The SAMCA indemnity form is necessary for all members and anybody else attending an official MG Club event, such as an outing, a driving test, a weekend away, etc. It covers the organisers should there be an incident, and is issued free.

​As a member of the South African Motor Clubs Association (SAMCA), the Club participates in a Public Liability Policy. This policy is in place to provide an element of cover in the event of a claim being made against the Club, it’s Office Bearers and/or Members, following an incident, involving a third party.
